Program Supervisor (Creative Design)



WORK PERFORMED: The Program Supervisor shall conduct managerial duties to include: providing the overall supervision of the staff working in the programs; completing administration duties such as recruiting, hiring, terminating staff in conjunction with the COS and HR staff, developing departmental policies and procedures, developing and revising job descriptions, adhering to and ensuring that all licensing, certification and accreditation standards and compliance requirements are met, overseeing the daily operations of the data management systems used for the programs, facilitating all program audits for the various regulatory agencies, collaborating with community peers, funding sources, and other agencies, chairing staff meetings, formulating budget planning and cost control of expenditures, participating as a member of the interdisciplinary team to coordinate participant services with other programs as appropriate, monitoring legislative activities that impact the Continued Learning and Work Readiness programs, developing and updating the program design manuals as needed, acting as a backup for positions in the event of an emergency and/or absences, enrolling new employees in the payroll timeclock system, analyzing and approving bi-weekly time clock transactions and submitting for payroll, completing staff performance evaluations, completing month end billing functions, disciplining staff by writing disciplinary action reports when warranted, completing necessary documentation, maintaining appropriate number of CEU units as the Program Administrator, developing and implementing new Continued Learning and Work Readiness programs, collaborating with community partners to include Goodwill Industries, Coastline Community College, Rancho Santiago Community College, community volunteer sites etc. for viable partnerships and community integration opportunities for the participants, monitoring departmental revenue and expenses for budget control, and assuming other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: Supervise and monitor the development, organization and overall daily operations of the Continued Learning and Work Readiness services for the organization; organize and monitor all tracking systems developed to administer each programs fiscal year goals; develop and maintain the necessary standards of DOL, CCL, RCOC, DDS, DOR, and other funding and certification authorities; effectively supervise, guide and train staff in performing their job duties and collaborate with other departmental staff in the development of Reimagines mission to provide quality service.

EQUIPMENT USED: Office equipment to include: Personal computer, fax machine, telephone etc. Must have familiarity with other program equipment to include gait belt; hoyer lift; adaptive/compensatory devices; participant wheelchairs, walkers, canes and other mobility devices; exercise mat; therapeutic exercise equipment etc. to assist when needed in the program.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of a bachelors degree in a social service, counseling or other related field; a minimum of three years experience in a rehabilitation or social service field with at least one year of supervisory experience. Must have excellent verbal and writing skills and be able to read, write, speak, and understand English proficiently. Must project a positive company image by maintaining a professional appearance, attire, attitude, and conduct. Must have the capability of learning the manner in which Reimagine requires the position to be performed. Current First Aid and CPR certification required and must be maintained. Must pass physical and background fingerprint clearance through Live scan. As the CCL Program Administrator, employee must acquire 15 CEU units annually or 30 CEU every two years. Valid drivers license, and proof of eligibility for employment is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to sit for extended periods of time. Must also have the ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel; lift, carry and move equipment up to 75 pounds; turn head, torso, legs, arms, and back; transfer participants from wheelchair to toilet, chair, and/or exercise mat (with/without second person assist); walk on varied terrain (indoor and outdoor) which includes carpet, tile, concrete, dirt, and grass; sitting for two to four hours may be necessary for desk/computer work or meetings; standing for one to three hour periods with occasional breaks may be necessary; average vision (corrected vision acceptable) to provide visual supervision of participants; communicating effectively is required in order to speak and hear parents/care providers, co-workers supervisor and community members in person and over the phone; must have the ability to type, write and complete documents and other paperwork; mobility to maintain files including opening and closing vertical and horizontal file cabinet drawers and removing and/or replacing files in cabinets; may need to walk up and down inclines and flights of stairs; retrieve and replace items on shelves which may be on the top, middle, or bottom shelf; sit and stand through the day in performing duties.
