What You Need to Know
Genesis Products is seeking an Assistant Panel Saw Operator to support the safe and efficient operation of our Holtzma panel saw in our wood panel processing manufacturing plant. This role offers great hands-on experience in CNC machining in a physically demanding, fast-paced manufacturing environment. Attention to detail, teamwork, and a dedication to safety are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, load, and position panels on the Holtzma panel saw per supervisor instructions
- Assist in interpreting technical drawings and cutting specifications
- Monitor saw operation to ensure cuts meet quality and safety standards
- Troubleshoot jams, defects, or irregularities during cutting
- Stack, label, and organize cut pieces for downstream processes
- Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE
- Record production data and report issues to lead operators
Required Skills and Abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic math skills and ability to interpret measurements and simple technical drawings
- Previous manufacturing or woodworking experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work well in a team
- Physically able to lift and move panels weighing up to 50 lbs regularly
- Capable of standing, bending, walking throughout a 10-hour shift
- Able to perform repetitive manual tasks in a fast-paced environment
