Wire Technician (Telecommunications)
The Wire Technician performs a variety of tasks to support the breakdown and fabrication of precious metal materials used in die-struck and finished products. This role requires hands-on equipment operation, adherence to precise tolerances, and attention to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate basic and advanced metal fabrication equipmentTransfer and stage materials according to process routingSet up and operate wire drawing equipment and rolling millsConduct mathematical calculations to determine material requirements and process yieldsMaintain accurate material segregation and accountabilityAdhere to precise gauge tolerances and quality standardsKeep work area clean and follow all safety protocols
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalentAbility to use and understand measuring toolsStrong communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in metal fabrication or materials processingProficiency in mathematical calculations related to production yieldsStrong manual dexterity and attention to detail
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand for the duration of a shiftRequires physical strength and stamina for material handling and lifting ranging from 25 pounds to 75 pounds
