MW Maintenance II (Maintenance)

Pines Village Retirement Communities, Inc. is looking for a full-time maintenance worker to join our growing team. This maintenance position will be responsible for the Meridian Woods campus and perform the upkeep tasks of paired homes. The maintenance worker will complete maintenance requests in order of importance, ensuring residents' concerns/repairs are accommodated or arrangements have been made.

Responsibilities:

Perform fixes such as repairs inside the residents' homes.
Performs preventative maintenance to systems such as heating, refrigeration, furnaces, washers/dryers, and fire/alarm systems.
Repairs and maintains HVAC, plumbing, electrical, doors and windows, gutters and down spouts, and other duties as assigned.
This maintenance position will serve on call, in emergency situations.
Coordinates with the Facility Director by contacting outside vendors and contractors.
Ensure safety and security of residents and campus.
Install appliances and other equipment, as needed.
Cleans and maintains grounds around the campus.

Must have high school diploma or equivalent
Must have previous maintenance/construction experience. Preferably for a retirement community, school district, apartment complex or long-term facility.
Working knowledge of HVAC equipment, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, grounds/ landscaping, and other general building maintenance experience.
Must be able to learn correct procedures/schedules, follow those procedures/schedules and work independently with minimal supervision.
Working basic knowledge of computers and software, including Word and Excel.
Possess a valid State of Indiana driver's license and have a reliable vehicle and proof of automobile insurance.
