Title: Business Systems Analyst - Distribution
Location: Corporate - Beaverton, OR
Job Summary:
The Business Systems Analyst – Distribution provides 24/7 support and expertise to Reser's transportation group as it relates primarily to our WMS, TMS, and other logistics software (WMi, MercuryGate, and TMW (ICC)). The analyst will support activities relating to system reporting, setup and support, as well as developing API setup for additional products as they are added to Reser's suite. In conjunction with these responsibilities, they continually work to improve system processes to obtain optimum efficiency of operations.
Essential Position Functions:
1. Ownership of WMS (Warehouse Management System), TMS (MercuryGate), and other distribution services, to research and resolve issues as they arise, and to determine root causes and implement countermeasures to address the issues long-term.
2. Serve as the site administrator through user maintenance, security administration, and roles/permissions setup.
3. Clearly understand distribution contracts and how to represent them accurately in system setup.
4. Onboard new EDI carriers through communicating requirements, proper setup, and testing to ensure transactions are communicated accurately and in a timely manner.
5. Diagnose, research, and correct EDI failures as they arise in day-to-day business.
6. Train new users in the use of WMS, TMS, and other distribution services.
7. Perform systems testing for changes, projects, and fixes.
8. Coordinate with partner integration between MercuryGate, internal WMS systems, and other customers' ERP and MRP systems.
9. Work closely with the IS, accounting, and transportation departments to ensure the success and efficiency of system implementations.
10. Create and coordinate reporting to express brokerage performance, spot market analysis, and customer/carrier key indicators.
11. Serve as the primary liaison between Reser's and vendors regarding to system updates/upgrades, helpdesk issue resolution, and support issue reconciliation.
12. Document support issues, solutions, and process improvements for support.
13. Develop effective strategies to optimize our customers' freight and reduce distribution costs using software services.
Education and Experience:
1. Bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent experience in related field (e.g., Operations Management, Supply Chain Management).
2. Must have 3-5 years of experience working with or implementing Tier 1 / Tier 2 Transportation Management Systems and Warehouse Management Systems.
3. Experience with MercuryGate implementation and integrations is a plus.
4. Experience with Manhattan WMS implementation and Integrations is a plus.
5. Minimum of 3 years of experience within manufacturing and distribution, transportation industries.
6. Minimum of 3 years participating in IT project-based work/teams.

1. Ability to design processes for new functionality within transportation operations.

4. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

8. Effective time management skills.
9. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
10. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
1. Office environment.
2. Travel up to 20% of the time.
