Interventional Pulmonology APP or PA (Finance)
The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine and the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine, is seeking an APRN or PA to work with an Interventional Pulmonary physician for a full-time position at the instructor rank. This is a full-time 12-month salaried faculty appointment at the rank of an Instructor and carries with it privileges at USF Health, Tampa General Hospital (TGH) and affiliated hospitals.
Responsible to a Chair or other appropriate higher-level administrator of a State university. Responsible for teaching, research, service, and related administrative activities. Responsible for academic advising and related activities. May represent the university, college/school, or department.Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate field of specialization or equivalent qualifications based on professional experience and otherwise qualified to perform assigned duties. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Instructor.
This position requires graduation from an accredited Advanced Practice Registered Nurse academic degree program and certification as outlined in Florida Statutes 464 and Florida Administrative Code, Chapter 64, or graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant academic degree program and certification as outlined in Florida Statutes 458 and 459 and Florida Administrative Code, Chapter 64. To facilitate easier and faster access of patients identified by the EON software package who screen positive for incidental findings and may require pulmonary biopsy and/ or follow up care. Assist and coordinate patient care with referring provider, outpatient follow up and recommendations based on findings. Education of patients and family regarding diagnosis, findings, and follow-up. Assist and coordinate patient care with referring provider, outpatient follow up and recommendations based on findings. Provides Interventional Pulmonary services at USF outpatient Clinics (and TGH) and/or other affiliated hospitals and clinics.
