Operations Manager (Project Management)

As a Hall's Culligan Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for driving business growth, operational excellence, and overall success by leading all aspects of the location's performance with a strong focus on strategic execution and team leadership. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role will act as a strategic partner in overseeing the dealership's day-to-day operations.

A core responsibility of the Operations Manager is developing and empowering the Sales, Service and Route team members through a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. By setting clear expectations, supporting employee development, and fostering a high-performing, service-driven environment, our Ops Manager ensures both the team and dealership are positioned for long-term success.

What you'll do:

Provide operational support:

  • Step into various business functions as needed to maintain continuity, solve problems, and keep day-to-day operations running smoothly. 
  • Provide hands-on, out in the field support across sales, service, route, etc. functions to ensure consistent product and equipment availability. (90/10 field to office percentage)
  • Help maintain proper inventory levels by monitoring stock, assisting with ordering, and reinforcing best practices. 
  • Support frontline training efforts related to operational procedures, product handling, unit growth, and route execution. 
  • Review daily operations when applicable, and addresses issues as they arise. 

Support financial processes:

  • Help monitor key operational metrics tied to financial performance and assists in identifying cost-saving opportunities. 
  • Support collections processes, equipment return procedures, and staff adherence to financial policies. 
  • Assist with compliance tracking, including environmental and municipal standards, by maintaining documentation and coordinating necessary actions. 

Asset and facility management:

  • Help manage vehicle maintenance schedules, cleanliness, and repair coordination to keep operations running efficiently. 
  • Support upkeep of dealership facilities and ensures security of products and equipment stored on-site. 
  • Coordinate basic facility and equipment maintenance tasks to reduce downtime and extend asset life. 
  • Ensure equipment management procedures are in place and functional. 

Safety:

  • Ensures service operations comply with all safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies. 
  • Leads safety training and enforces protocols to maintain a safe environment for employees and customers.
  • Oversees incident reporting and investigations, ensuring proper documentation and resolution. 
  • Responds to emergencies, providing direction to minimize disruption and ensure safety. 
  • Maintains compliance with legal requirements and safety standards, working with legal and insurance teams as needed. 
  • Ensures confidentiality of sensitive customer and employee information. 

Where you'll work:

Our Operations Managers spend most of their time working in the dealership, more specifically in an office environment requiring regular use of computers and multi-line phones – this means you must be able to sit for extended periods of time. While our offices primarily work Monday – Friday 8am-5pm, this role may require some evenings and weekends as business needs require.

And just as importantly, this roll will support on attracting, developing, and retaining top talent to build a high-performing, engaged team. 

Your qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license with no restrictions or limitations.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass/maintain an acceptable driving record. 
  • 2-5 years of prior multi-department management experience preferred.
  • Experience managing overall budgets and P&L statements is required. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Must remain physically capable, with or without reasonable accommodation, to perform the duties required of this position.
  • Must be able to successfully pass criminal background and drug screening checks per company requirements.
