Non-College Work-Study |Computer Lab Assistant Kingwood Campus (Finance)

Department: User Support Services Salary: $12.00 per hour
Description:

This position is at the Kingwood Campus

Duties:

• Monitors the operation of the general computer lab

• Assists with Software installations if needed

• Greets students as they come into the general computer area

• Performs other duties as assigned

• Provides data entry for the Help Desk Ticketing System

• Provides first-tier user support to students and faculty

• Performs opening and/or closing procedures, and other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must have good telephone etiquette and good customer service skills

• Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, Internet browsers, MS Office Professional Suite, and other applications

• Must be a self-starter in exercising initiative with the ability to get things done by performing daily tasks effectively

• Solve basic routine Software and Hardware issues as necessary

Qualifications:

• Must be a current UHD student
• Must be able to work the evening shift (4 pm to 9 pm) and/or split shift

• Experience requirements: Less than one year
