The Head Soccer Coach will be responsible for all aspects of developing and maintaining a women's soccer team for the athletics department at UHV. This role requires direction, coordination, and instruction for the UHV women's soccer team, with a strong focus on recruiting prospective student-athletes and ensuring compliance with all applicable university, conference, and NAIA policies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Recruitment (35%): Identify and recruit student-athletes who demonstrate academic success while competing in intercollegiate athletics.
• Practice and Game Management (25%): Plan and organize all UHV practice sessions, including scheduling and coaching games.
• Public Relations and Fundraising (15%): Participate in external activities, public relations campaigns, fundraising efforts, and outreach programs.
• Compliance (10%): Ensure adherence to all UHV, conference, and NAIA rules and regulations.
• Academic Monitoring (5%): Monitor the academic progress of student-athletes to promote their success.
• Inventory Management (5%): Maintain an updated, detailed inventory of all equipment and supplies.
• Additional Duties (5%): Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Preferred (3-5) years of coaching experience in soccer at the high school or collegiate level.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to the NAIA Champions of Character program and its five core values.
