Chief Financial Officer (Finance)

Parkside Psychiatric Hospital & Clinic is a comprehensive mental healthcare system providing acute in-patient care, residential treatment, and outpatient therapy. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the hospital, including financial planning, reporting, budgeting, revenue cycle management, and financial compliance. The CFO works closely with the CEO, executive leadership, and the board of directors to ensure the financial health and sustainability of the organization while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the hospital's mission and goals.
  • Lead long-term financial forecasting, capital planning, and risk management.
  • Advise the CEO and board on financial planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.

Budgeting & Reporting

  • Direct the preparation and analysis of budgets, financial statements, and operational reports.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
  • Analyze financial performance and identify areas for improvement.

Revenue Cycle Management

  • Oversee patient billing, collections, coding, and reimbursement processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance billing requirements.
  • Work to optimize hospital revenue cycle efficiency and reduce denials or delays.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., IRS, CMS, GAAP, HIPAA).
  • Oversee internal and external audits.
  • Develop internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial integrity.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and manage finance, accounting, and billing departments.
  • Mentor and develop finance team staff.
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to support financial decision-making.

Capital & Resource Management

  • Manage cash flow, investment strategies, and financing activities.
  • Participate in major hospital projects, including facility expansion, equipment purchases, and IT investments.
  • Evaluate financial feasibility and return on investment (ROI) for new initiatives

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or Finance (preferred).
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or similar financial designation (preferred).
  • This position is located onsite in Tulsa, OK!!!

Experience

  • Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive financial leadership experience in a healthcare or hospital environment.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare finance, including third-party reimbursement, healthcare regulations, and not-for-profit financial management (if applicable).
