We are currently seeking an experienced, self-starter, goal-oriented, successful sales professional to fill the role of Business Development Manage r in our Louisville region. As a Business Development Manager, your goal is to express ideas in a way that will build rapport with our current and new customers. You will help build new customer relationships and assist in managing key customer "partnerships" for long term business growth and success.

What You Will Do:

  • Developing new business accounts to secure major construction contracts
  • Strategically prospect, network, and research future construction project opportunities
  • Working collaboratively with the Business Development team to create and implement strategic plans to generate business opportunities which result in achieved revenue objectives for the region
  • Participating in industry and community organizations
  • Continuously growing and developing your skills to lead project teams in selling high-end conceptual services to executive level managers and buyers of large corporations and agencies.
  • Influence the performance of cross functional teams.
  • Make decisions based on Messer's long-term growth philosophy and core values

What You Will Bring:

  • 5+ years of business development / sales experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business, construction, or related field
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours.
  • Business and community relationships in the regional area
  • Knowledge/experience in a construction related industry.
  • Knowledge of Messer market segments is a plus.
  • Formal sales training experience and utilization of client relationship management (CRM) software preferred.
  • Proven track record developing business and long-term client relations.
