Play Caller, Starbucks - Hilton Anaheim (Finance)

Shift Pattern: open availability required, earliest start time 5am, latest end time currently 630pm but may be as late as 1030pm in future

Hourly Rate:$23.74 -$29.67 per hour plus tips

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

  • Open, flexible availability
  • 1 year of customer service and Barista experience, Starbucks experience highly preferred
  • A genuine spirit to provide excellent service to our guests!

What Will I Be Doing?

As a Play Caller, you will be in charge of greeting the guest, coordinate coffee orders, preparation, and delivery to ensure the prompt and correct filling of orders. As well as routinely check the status of order tickets and communicate with Baristas to manage the flow of service.

You will be doing the following functions:

  • Responsible for setting up daily plays/routine for Barista staff. Communicate when play/assigned position changes throughout the shift
  • Organize and prioritize orders, coordinate timing with Baristas, verify quality and accuracy of all ordered items. Working together to be the best moment in every costumer's day while delivering expertly crafted products.
  • Covers, assists and supports baristas as necessary based on business and operational demand
  • Ensure a positive engaged customer experience from the moment a guest enters, an order is placed, and the delivery is complete.
  • Checks completion of side work for service staff and reports to management
  • Assists managers in overseeing cleanliness and sanitation.

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.

• Attends mandatory meetings
• Performs general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards.
• Keeps work area clean and organized.
• Completes other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or department head.
• Be fully proficient in all positions in Starbucks.
