Remote Diagnostic Advisor (Biotech)

The Remote Diagnostic Advisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of field service operations by reviewing active work orders and using specialized diagnostic software to remotely review equipment issues. They analyze and interpret machine data to detect, identify, diagnose to proactively troubleshoot to pinpoint likely issues and make repair recommendations before a field service technician is dispatched.

This proactive approach ensures that the field service technician arrives with all the necessary tools and parts to correctly repair CAT heavy equipment in the field. Their work is essential in minimizing downtime and optimizing repair processes in a manner that reflects the company's vision of working as “One Professional Team.”

 

Pay: $70,508.00- $97,062.00 annually

Pay rate is dependent on education and experience.

  • Possesses organization and planning skills sufficient to ensure personal and delegated work assignments are completed on time
  • Collaborates with all areas of the dealership to share information and utilize resources to resolve issues or perform timely repairs
  • Works closely with repairing technicians to ensure recommendations are relevant, effective, and accurate
  • Assists in improving Wagner's condition monitoring processes and services to our clients.
  • Works closely with Service departments and PSSRs to maintain a world class level of support and uptime for Wagner's clients
  • Participates in the development of other service personnel in all technical manners
  • Analyzes and interprets aggregated condition monitoring machine data to facilitate early and accurate detection of changes in equipment health, performance, operation and application
  • Combines fault code data, SOS data and other condition monitoring data to interpret machine condition and composes written synopsis and recommendations relating to troubleshooting and repair to service technicians
  • Helps clients improve uptime and machine availability by making appropriate fact-based repair or operational recommendations that enable proactive maintenance and repair activities
  • Uses their extensive in-depth technical knowledge, mechanical aptitude and their understanding of technical service information (preferably in heavy equipment & mining applications) to diagnose and communicate technical issues throughout all operational areas of Wagner
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Extensive knowledge of CAT systems and software tools
  • 5+ years' experience in the mechanical/technical side of heavy equipment, preferably with the Caterpillar line             
  • 3+ years administrative/clerical experience
  • 3+ years customer service experience
  • Strong verbal and written technical subject communication skills
  • Intermediate knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or a technology-related field
