The mission of the Bellini Center for Talent Development is to transform the minds and experiences of the next generation Muma College of Business students through internships and experiential learning, and other activities while improving the talent pipeline for businesses in the Tampa Bay community. We are looking for a dynamic person to join our team to help prepare students by enhancing their professional development skills for learning opportunities prior to entering the workforce. It is our mindset that the more real- world experiences a student has, the more successful they will be when they enter the workforce.

The position requires a Master's degree in Career Counseling, Career Education, College Student Affairs, MBA or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency in MS Office, and Outlook. Experience using university-wide database, Handshake specifically or other career service platforms is ideal.

FLSB1310 Equivalency:
4 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree.
6 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for master's degree.

  • Provide timely and accurate information to advise students regarding the Bellini Center Badging Program and how to utilize the program through scheduled appointments, walk ins, group sessions, orientations, and class presentations. Advises students on available internship and experiential learning opportunities and helps them acquire these positions appropriate to their goals. Oversee student employees.
  • Collaborate with Bellini Center Business Communications to assist students by conducting resume/cover letter critiques and providing guidance regarding internship/experiential learning application procedures. Direct special efforts to promote full use of Bellini Center Badging Program (leading to certification) by students.
  • Facilitate career assessment tools for students and counseling sessions in career planning. Direct special efforts to promote full use of Bellini Center Badging Program by students. Maintain records of student program goals, student internship/experiential learning placement, student employment, and assist the Assistant Program Director with data for the monthly and annual reports.
  • Work directly with Handshake and other career resources to organize and locate internship/experiential opportunities for business students. Create a system to advertise important student opportunities with urgent deadlines.
  • Keeps faculty and staff informed about new student opportunities. Provide student opportunities to Marketing Coordinator to create electronic informational flyers or handouts with approval of the Assistant Program Director. Participate in staff activities/meetings and site visits to employers to evaluate appropriateness and relevance of internships for students.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
