Senior Event Planner (Legal)

Job Description:
Essential Job Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of event planning while staying on budget and meet strict guidelines
Build and nurture relationships with vendors, venues, and other industry contacts while implementing the creative and logistical aspects of all events
Work with internal staff, clients, and vendors to coordinate and establish the requirements for an event
Liaise with senior executives and industry leaders throughout the planning process
Coordinate visit sites and lead pre-event meetings to help event coordinators make decisions about event design
Plan and facilitate logistics for all events, including contract negotiations, guest lists, venue preparation, presentation materials, catering, entertainment, transportation, equipment, and decor
Oversee client experiences from conception through post-event review; manage on-site preparations, production, and event breakdown; and ensure consistent, high-level service throughout all phases
Build and maintain a comprehensive database of industry contacts, vendors, and venues
Provide day of assistance and management for all in-person and virtual events
Manage virtual events/webinars from end-to-end (i.e. stakeholder-intake, tech runs, event follow up)
Qualifications & Requirements
5+ years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a law firm environment
Technically adept
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to organize, prioritize, and coordinate multiple aspects of an event
Maintain confidential information
Ability to excel under pressure and provide quality work product
Clearly and effectively communicate with varying levels of people within the organization
Work productively and cooperatively with other employees
Lead a team of event coordinators through mentorship and support
Ability to lift or move 40 lbs. or greater
Ability to grasp, lift or carry packages on a standard wheeled cart with a load capacity of 75 lbs.
Ability to walk, bend, kneel, stand or sit for an extended period of time
The Compensation range for this role is 66,164 to 82,175 USD per year and may be eligible for an annual bonus. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's location, skills, experience and qualifications.
