CarePro Home Medical -Cedar Rapids has an immediate opportunity for a knowledgeable and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our team!
In this role you will be responsible for educating and demonstrating the use of respiratory equipment to patients and monitoring their use and compliance according to prescribed provider orders.
This position is full-time with scheduled hours Monday thru Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with an on-call rotation for evenings and weekends.

What Youll Do:
Follow physicians orders, meet with patients to dispense PAP Therapy equipment and suppliesProvide support to ventilator patients through hospital discharge to home and ongoing support needsAssist with in-home patient visits and equipment set upTroubleshoot equipment and/or patient problems with respiratory equipmentConduct follow-up calls withpatients regarding their respiratory equipmentWork with hospital discharge staff on patient training of equipmentConsult with physician when necessaryMaintain patient's chart that contains pertinent identification and patient notesComplete required documentation promptly and accuratelyInspect and test respiratory therapy equipment to ensure equipment is functioning safely and efficiently
What Were Looking For:
Must possess active Iowa Respiratory LicenseCertified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) - National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)1+ years of recent experience in a home health, outpatient, or medical office settingStrong computer skills including Microsoft Office and the internet requiredComprehensive knowledge of therapy procedures for patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric Is required to be reliable, detail-oriented, and a strong communicator with problem-solving skillsShould be dependable and motivated to grow in a long-term roleMust have valid driver's license and be insurable
