NUTRITION SPECIALIST (Biotech)

- This role will be based in Muscatine, Iowa.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Formulation and optimization of complete animal feeds, premixes and supplement products for Kent and custom products with a focus on best cost and manufacturing efficiency.
- The role will mainly have a focus on non-ruminants and will collaborate with ruminant nutritionists as needed.
- 80% Diet and Product Formulation 20% Technical Support.
- Proactively take a lead role in the formulation of new products and programs as seen needed in conjunction with sales and marketing.
- Provide collaborative input into marketing and regulatory materials.
- Provide consumer and competitive intelligence in specialty areas to assist in product, program and strategy development.
- Support the growth of Kent Nutrition Group brand awareness through active involvement in key publications, trade shows, and scientific associations.
- Lead or assist in the development of new products and programs as seen as needed by field personnel.
- All other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS/MS (or the right individual with PhD) in Animal Science or related agricultural field with a minimum of 2 years' experience
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to pay attention to details and proactively seek solutions.
- The ability to work well in a dynamic, fast-changing environment which requires a high degree of multi-tasking with minimal supervision.
- Effective use of computer programs including Microsoft Office applications and feed formulation software.
