Job Description: The Single Cell Lab at the University of Houston, in collaboration with the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and funded by the NIH, DoD, and CPRIT, is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to work on T-cell based immunotherapies. This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary team of engineers, immunologists, and clinicians focused on advancing cancer immunotherapy through innovative single-cell technologies. The successful candidate must have prior, well-documented experience working with orthotopic cancer models in mice (e.g., lung, neuroblastoma, pancreatic). Experience with animal surgery is a plus. A strong foundation in immunology is essential, with demonstrated proficiency in working with primary immune cells and standard immunological assays such as ELISA, ELISpot, and multiparameter flow cytometry.

Familiarity with molecular cloning, CRISPR-based gene editing, and data integration from multiple omics platforms will be considered a plus. The candidate will be expected to independently design and execute experiments, develop or optimize immunological and molecular methods, and contribute to high-impact publications. Responsibilities also include presenting research at national and international meetings, with ample opportunities and mentorship for career development.

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. in immunology, molecular biology, cell biology, or a related field. Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are essential. This position is available immediately, and applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
