Senior Program Coordinator (Project Management)



The Sustainability Energy Systems is a new multidisciplinary curriculum that draws from a range of perspectives to equip students with vital knowledge and skills needed to address complex and pressing challenges in a dynamic energy landscape. The curriculum is structured to provide a common core of fundamental knowledge, while at the same time provide the flexibility to specialize in topics of interests though elective course options.

As the Coordinator of the new Sustainability Energy Systems in the Mewbourne College of Earth and Energy, the primary responsibility will be to oversee the administrative activities of this new program offered at the University of Oklahoma.

Essentials duties include:

  • Responsible for daily program operations.
  • Collects and analyzes data and prepares reports.
  • Plans and coordinates program events.
  • Develops and administers budgets for SES program.
  • Plan and oversee project management.
  • Develops policies and procedures.
  • Schedule classes for the SES program.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Required Education: Bachelor's degree, AND: 

  •  48 months of related experience.

Equivalent Substitution: Will accept 48 months of experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree to equal 96 months of related experience.

Skills:

  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Able to effectively evaluate projects & programs and produce comprehensive reports.
  • Able to supervise staff and communicate directions and expectations effectively.
  • Must be able to read and interpret policy as well as State and Federal regulations.

Certifications:

  • None

Advertised Physical Requirements:

  • Sits for prolonged periods.
  • Communicate effectively.
  • Manual dexterity. 

Standard office environment.

  • OU experience
  • Student services experience such as advising

Supervision: 

  • Undergraduate student employees
