Sr Designer Instructional (Finance)



Job Summary

Job Description

Design training coursework to drive employee performance. Work cross-functionally with leadership teams and across various departments to research, create, and implement learning and development strategies and initiatives. Create and implement blended learning solutions, prepare course materials, observe programs and courses, and provide direction and coaching to ensure learning transfer and application in the field.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES ยท

  • Consult with business leaders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to assess training needs and learning objectives to recommend solutions.
  • Serve as learning expert for other Medline departments involved in training others as a part of their roles.
  • Use adult learning principles and concepts, instructional design theory, learning tools, and industry resources to design and develop training coursework.
  • Create course design approach that lays out the material in the correct order for appropriate understanding, comprehension, and knowledge transfer.
  • Evaluate and measure instructional solutions to gauge effectiveness. Make recommendations to improve course effectiveness.
  • Identify and partner with external vendors to ensure programs/products meet program requirements and objectives.
  • Set and reinforce quality standards for learning assets created by the Learning & Development team and champions risk-taking and alternative approaches to the benefit of employees.
  • Provide key input to team and external partners of best techniques to improve stickiness of content including product divisions presenting to phase training and at promo meetings.
  • Collaborate with Technology teams to research, select, and implement e-learning authoring software programs to develop and deliver interactive training experiences.
  • Facilitate instructor-led training. Demonstrate effective use of presentation/facilitation tools, techniques, and materials, etc.
  • Coach employees on the skills needed for transfer of learning in an instructor lead environment both virtually and in-person.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in education, business, or other similar field

Work Experience

  • At least 4 years of experience in learning and development, instructional design methodologies, and blended learning solutions.
  • Experience in training needs analysis, development, design, delivery and measurement.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Experience developing learning assets such as design documents, scripts, presentation decks, leader's guides, participant guides and handouts or job aids.
  • Experience in eLearning creation, such as building quizzes, simulations, editing video/audio and working within photo/video editing suites.
  • Experience applying knowledge of eLearning and mobile learning tools and resources.
  • Intermediate skill level with training software development programs such as Articulate, Camtasia, Premier, Photoshop and/or Illustrator.
  • Experience collaborating with (internal resources, external resources, both) to develop strategies that meet department goals within budget and established timelines.
  • Excellent verbal communication, documentation, and technical writing skills.
  • Willing to travel up to 25% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • Master's degree in a development/training discipline.

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$96,200.00 - $144,560.00 Annual

The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
