Marketing Manager CGT (Biotech)

Today, Lonza is a global leader in life sciences operating across five continents. While we work in science, there's no magic formula to how we do it. Our greatest scientific solution is talented people working together, devising ideas that help businesses to help people. In exchange, we let our people own their careers. Their ideas, big and small, genuinely improve the world. And that's the kind of work we want to be part of.

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Marketing Manager to lead the development and execution of marketing initiatives for our Bioprocessing product portfolio, with a focus on supporting Cell & Gene Therapy (CGT) media projects. In this highly collaborative role, you will work cross-functionally with Product Management, Sales, Training, Campaign Managers, and Digital teams to establish compelling value propositions and drive business growth. This is a remote, East Coast–based position with approximately 25% of responsibilities dedicated to supporting the APAC region. You are willing and able to accommodate APAC time zones and supply to global marketing efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and complete global marketing strategies for the CGT Bioprocessing portfolio to drive awareness, adoption, and revenue growth.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product Management, Campaign Managers, Digital Marketing, and Training to align messaging, pricing, and positioning.

  • Leverage customer insights and competitive analysis to guide product strategy, identify growth opportunities, and advise go-to-market plans.

  • Lead and support global marketing campaigns, including digital and social media initiatives, while setting critical metrics and analyzing return on investment.

  • Provide sales enablement through product demos, messaging, training, and customer visit support; represent the brand at conferences and trade shows.

  • Support the APAC region (approx. 25% of focus) through tailored marketing initiatives and regular collaboration with regional teams.

  • Monitor product line performance at both macro and customer levels, supply to forecasting, and provide regular updates to leadership.

  • Travel up to 20% for customer engagement, conferences, and internal alignment meetings, both domestically and internationally.

Key Requirements:

  • Master's degree in biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, or a related scientific field (or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience); PhD strongly preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in life sciences or drug discovery, gained in an academic or industry setting.

  • Proven experience in Product Management or related roles such as Sales, Technical Support, or Marketing.

  • In-depth knowledge of transfection and genome editing technologies.

  • Strong cross-functional communication skills with the ability to operate optimally across scientific, technical, and commercial teams.

  • Proven track record to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and evolving environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel); experience with SAP-BW and Salesforce is highly desirable.

  • Project management experience is a strong asset.

  • Must be based on the U.S. East Coast; this is a remote role with up to 20% travel, including up to 25% support for the APAC region.
