Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced software engineer to support one of our primary programs working with the U.S. Government to provide ground processing for cutting edge satellites. Our ideal candidate is a hard-charging DevOps Engineer that can begin to produce quickly. You should have a strong understanding of IaC, containerization, automated test, and deployment pipelines to evolve our existing software infrastructure and architecture.

This position requires onsite work in Ypsilanti, Michigan and the candidate to be a U.S. citizen holding a TS/SCI U.S. Government Security Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI Poly after starting.

Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of comprehensive CICD pipelines with seamless automation
  • Deploy/troubleshoot in Cloud environments (prefer AWS) and instances
  • Effective at cross-organizational communication with the ability to work well in a small team
  • Mentor junior developers and foster their professional growth; design organizational and programmatic best practices for CICD and automated testing
  • Work within a team environment to advance large software development packages by taking on and completing tasks independently

Required Qualifications:
  • U.S. citizenship with a current/active TS/SCI U.S. Government Security Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI Poly after starting
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technology fields
    ( 5 years of professional experience in lieu of degree)
  • IAT Level II or III certification (i.e. Security , CISSP, or CASP)
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, Ansible, and/or Helm
  • Experience navigating Linux systems
  • Version control experience in Git (GitHub, GitLab, BitBucket)
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with virtual teams
  • Academic or professional experience in radar or electro-optical fields
  • Experience in the operational deployment of multi-product baselines and functionality
  • Familiarity with Agile Scrum; particularly as a Product Owner or Scrum Master
  • Desire to learn new technologies

ITC & Security Clearance Requirements:

This position requires U.S. citizenship in support of contract requirements. Additionally, if you are a dual citizen (a citizen of the U.S. and another country), the Company must obtain approval for you to have access to the information required for this position. You will not be able to begin employment until such approval is obtained and this may take several months.

This position also requires active TS/SCI U.S. Government Security Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI Poly after starting.
