Lead Data Architect (Finance)



As a Lead Data Architect here at Honeywell Advanced Materials in Morris Plains, you will be the visionary driving the architecture, design, and management of data systems that underpin our global operations. Your expertise in data governance, modeling, and integration will set the gold standard for data excellence within the organization. You'll work on cutting-edge projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure data-driven decision-making and help us achieve operational efficiency.

You will report directly to our Director Enterprise Architecture/New Tech and you'll work out of our Morris Plains (NJ), Houston (TX) or Charlotte (NC) locations on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact our organization by driving data-driven innovation and operational efficiency. Your architectural guidance will lay the foundation for informed decision-making, propelling us to the forefront of technological advancement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute data management strategies and architecture to enhance data quality and accessibility
  • Guide data architecture and data management efforts, encompassing the establishment of policies, standards, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to extract valuable insights from data assets.
  • Establish best in class data architecture for data management and integration platforms.
  • Take ownership of data infrastructure and related tools to facilitate business operations.
  • Manage middleware, API and big data technologies.
  • Implement and uphold data security measures, ensuring privacy compliance.
  • Contribute to data-informed decision-making that aligns with the company's objectives.
  • Manage and mentor a team of data professionals as applicable.
  • Promote an inclusive work environment and facilitate individual and team achievements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of addressing complex data challenges
  • Excellent executive communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Understanding of business processes and the ability to align data architecture with organizational goals

This position is intended to convey to the new, independent company, to be named Solstice Advanced Materials when the separation occurs. This is expected to occur in late 2025 or early 2026.
