Senior Financial Analyst (Finance)
Job Description
Assist the Financial Planning and Reporting Manager to provide timely and accurate financial analysis/reporting and complete quarterly/annual planning processes for the respective business unit. Assist with project capital (AFE) reporting and management. Perform ad-hoc analysis and complete special projects. Focus on process improvement and efficiency.
Qualifications
- 5-8 years of experience
- Extended periods of work may be required during financial reporting close.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and meet goals and deadlines.
- Computer skills required - job entails working with several software applications
- Strong analytical skills and accounting technical knowledge
- Good written and verbal communication skills required
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proven ethics, professionalism and discretion
- Must be detail oriented
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements and investigate deviations and trends
- Participate in the month end close and forecast/budget processes
- Prepare and present the monthly financial performance of the business unit
- Create board materials and other ad-hoc requests and presentations upon request
- Develop and maintain relationships with key personnel in order to facilitate the timely flow
- Coordinate, prepare and review models for capital expenditures and bid models
- Drive continuous improvement in the group and implement efficient and effective procedures; correctly document all processes
- Assumes other duties and responsibilities as required
