As a Biotherapies Donor Management Specialist, you'll get to:
  • Be responsible for Biotherapies allogeneic donor management for projects and collections supporting basic research, clinical research, and for further manufacturing purposes. In collaboration with other Vitalant business units, the development and management of a diverse and recallable Biotherapies allogeneic donor base for current and future internal projects and external contracts.
  • Liasion between Biotherapies, Blood Services, PlasmaSource, sales and other departments to ensure availability of potential donors to meet requests to support the growth of the business and meet organizational and client needs.
  • Leads and manages projects to establish a diverse and recallable healthy adult donor database for the Biotherapies business unit
  • Serves as subject matter expert on donor options and provides consultation to internal and external parties, as requested.
  • Maintains proficiency and certification for all tasks required by the position (e.g., Human Research Subjects, Good Clinical Practices (GCP), Good Tissue Practices (GTP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), NMDP confidentiality training).

Requirements

  • Associates degree in related area or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience:
  • Four years of related experience (medical, research or Blood center) required.
