Maintenance Technician - Multiple Shifts (Finance)



As a Maintenance Technician at MacLean-Fogg, you'll play a key role in keeping our advanced manufacturing equipment running smoothly and safely. You'll be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and control systems. This position is ideal for someone skilled with tools, experienced in industrial equipment, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Position Type: Hourly, Full-Time (Non-Exempt)
  • Shifts:
    • Shift 2: 3:00pm - 11:00pm
    • Shift 3: 11:00pm - 7:00am
  • Pay Range: $22.00 - $28.00/hour (depending on skills and experience)
  • Shift Differential: +$1.00/hour for 2nd shift and +$0.75 for 3rd shift
  • Sign-On Bonus: $1,000
  • Work Location: Onsite - Saegertown, Pennsylvania, 16433
Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and control systems (including PLCs) to minimize downtime
  • Perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections according to schedules and technical instructions
  • Assemble, install, and test industrial electrical systems and components using appropriate tools
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to support maintenance and repair tasks
  • Collaborate with engineers to identify and resolve technical and equipment-related challenges
  • Update or modify electrical diagrams and equipment specifications as needed
  • Operate machining equipment (e.g., drill press, band saws) to fabricate or repair parts
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and issues resolved
  • Order and track parts and materials required for repairs and upgrades
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, environmental standards, and quality procedures
  • Support 5S standards by keeping tools and work areas clean, safe, and organized
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support facility uptime and operational goals
Skills & Competencies
  • Solid knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in an industrial setting
  • Familiarity with PLC systems, sensors, and control panel troubleshooting
  • Skilled in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities
  • Comfortable using hand tools, meters, and shop equipment
  • Proficient in documentation, process tracking, and work order systems
  • Manual dexterity and physical strength to perform physically demanding work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative maintenance team
Qualifications

Required:

  • Experience: 2-5 years in industrial or manufacturing maintenance
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
  • Strong work ethic with minimal supervision required

Preferred:
  • Formal training or certification in Electrical Maintenance, Mechatronics, or Industrial Technology
  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
  • Required to stand for extended periods.
  • Must be able to push/pull objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent bending and stooping required.
  • Must have the dexterity to handle small objects.
  • Must be able to work in noisy environments.
