Job Description
The Data & Business Insights Manager is primarily responsible for leading a dual-focused strategy that combines advanced data analytics with business analysis to drive strategic decision-making across the organization. This role will primarily support the Corporate Finance and Strategy teams, as well as other business units and functions, by transforming complex data into actionable insights that inform operations, strategy, and drive performance improvements. This individual contributor role will blend advanced analytics and business insights, delivering scalable models and actionable recommendations to improve performance across various business functions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in data analytics, have a knack for seeing solutions in sprawling data sets, and synthesizing findings into meaningful business narratives that influence outcomes and enable data-driven decisions. This position is hybrid; we work on site 4 days, and remotely 1 day, weekly.

Responsibilities

  • Partner cross-functionally throughout the organization to analyze performance trends, identify opportunities, and support decision-making.
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations that align with business goals.
  • Translate ambiguous business questions into structured problems with measurable KPIs.
  • Monitor KPIs for global and regional business units, flagging risks and opportunities early.
  • Apply advanced analytic techniques (e.g., linear programming, simulations, clustering, decision analysis, etc.) to solve complex business problems.
  • Build, implement, and maintain intuitive reports and dashboards, including workflows and data transformations, using tools such as Power BI and Alteryx.
  • Lead cross-functional projects using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities.
  • Keep up on data industry trends and the availability of upgrades to key systems, and advise organizational leaders when changes/upgrades need to be made.
  • Effectively communicate results and business impacts of insight initiatives to Senior Management and other stakeholders within the Company.
Requirements
  • BS/BA in related field required
  • 5+ years in business analytics, optimization, strategy, or operations research roles, ideally in a retail, consumer goods, or ecommerce setting
  • Strong logical reasoning skills and business intelligence
  • Well-versed in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Analytical skills and strong organizational abilities
  • Knowledge of SAP, Power BI, Alteryx
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills
  • Proficient with data discovery / statistical analysis tools

Preferred Skills and Industry experience :

  • Experience in business process improvement or strategic planning
  • Ability to manage multiple high-impact projects, while balancing competing priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed organization
