Hybrid CTSS Mental Health Supervisor/ Outpatient Mental Health Therapist (Personal Services)



In this unique opportunity, the candidate would have the ability to get first hand supervisor experience under the CTSS team as well as continue to practice as a licensed mental health therapist. The schedule for this opportunity can be flexible, but would consist of afternoon/evening hours while working 2-3 days a week with the CTSS team when not partaking in outpatient mental health therapy at the assigned clinic location.
CTSS Supervisor Description and Expectations:The CTSS Supervisor implements MN DHS CTSS statutory policy and procedures providing medically necessary rehabilitative mental health services to individuals under the age of 21 and their families. The CTSS Supervisor conducts clinical sessions including Diagnostic Assessments, therapy and skills sessions, and quarterly visits, provides high quality supervision for CTSS practitioners and guides the implementation of services delivered by CTSS practitioners in an ethically sound manner in accordance with all NAL and DHS regulations.
Job Duties:
I. Clinical Duties:• Completes assigned diagnostic assessments in accordance to NAL CTSS and DHS requirements. • Coordinates and manages timely completion of required documentation (Diagnostic Assessments (DA's), Annual Diagnostic Assessments (ADA's) Individual Treatment Plans (ITP's) and progress notes in accordance to DHS/CTSS Standards. • Maintains organized client electronic health records in accordance with policy of NAL and requirements of the DHS/State of Minnesota. Concurrent documentation is mandatory.• Reviews practitioner's client charts and ensure that they are maintained in the CTSS prescribed manner. Enhances quality of documentation of CTSS services by completing systematic regular chart reviews - All charts will meet DHS standards on an ongoing basis.• Designs and implements treatment/intervention reflective of client needs, following all DHS/CTSS standards.• Participates in approved NAL/CTSS quality assurance, create specific and measurable goals, and conduct quarterly visits to all client homes on team case list. • Makes appropriate referrals to other NAL/FSSI programs and collaborate when appropriate. • Maintains a caseload of clients when necessary or as assigned by the CTSS Clinical Manager.• Supervisor will meet a billable standard of 20 hours per week prorated with meetings and supervision.• Utilizes appropriate billing codes for services rendered; including add-on codes when necessary.

II. Supervisory Duties:• Supervises a team of Mental Health Practitioners and guide the services they deliver. • Provides supervision/consultation for mental health practitioners on an individual, team and/or program basis as assigned by CTSS Clinical Manager. • Available for urgent/crisis consultation by practitioners.• Update and maintain accurate and timely case assignment sheets.• Hold practitioners accountable to all NAL policies and procedures as well as DHS standards for the delivery of mental health services.• Scheduling to be managed via Allscripts PM.• Responsible for maintaining records and ensuring practitioners receive CTSS/DHS required supervision and Training/Continuing Education Units. • Review all documentation written by practitioners, taking professional responsibility for the quality of their work.• Establish and maintain clear and professional boundaries with practitioners.• Attends regularly scheduled supervision, staff and other assigned meetings.• Attends and participates in Local Advisory Council (LAC) or county meetings as assigned.• Follows policies and procedures of NAL/CTSS.• Works collaboratively with community-based agencies in the provision of CTSS services.• Supports and participates in the marketing and promotion of the program as indicated. • Supervision of clinical interns in the CTSS program as needed.• Ensures that staff are meeting their weekly billable expectations• Ensures that staff are utilizing appropriate billing codes; including add-on codes when necessary.• Carefully reviews and submits practitioner pay sheets that reflect documented and billed sessions in the electronic health record system. • Complete other duties as assigned.
For the Outpatient Mental Health Therapist Expectations:

Job Duties:1. Designs and implements treatment/intervention reflective of identified patient needs, stated in terms of expected outcome, including strategy to achieve stated outcomes.2. Completes and bills documentation for sessions within 24 hours.3. Maintains EEHR records in accordance with policy requirements.4. Builds and maintains full-time case load for self.5. Attends and participates in required amount of clinical staff meetings including case and peer reviews per MN 545i and DHS Standards or any applicable state requirements.6. Attends Board Approved Supervision and DHS Standards as assigned by Quality Assurance or any applicable state requirements.7. Responsible for timely completion of patient prior authorizations and other necessary insurance processing information.8. Follows policies and procedures of Nystrom & Associates, Ltd.9. Responds to patient complaints in coordination with Clinic Director.10. Consults with Outpatient Clinic Director and Board Approved Supervisor on complex cases.11. Will make referrals to other NAL programs for behavioral health services whenever possible.12. Supports and participates in the marketing of the clinic.13. Responsible for timely completion of Managed Care applications and ongoing documentation as needed.
