Revenue Growth Strategist (Finance)

Our current hybrid approach requires staff to work onsite a minimum of two days each week, every Tuesday and one other day, to be determined by their business unit. Hybrid staff are also welcome to come in additional days each week or may be asked to come in on other days by their manager.

GBH is a public media powerhouse, serving New England, the nation, and the world with productions that educate, inspire, and entertain—on television, or radio, on the Web, and on an expanding array of mobile devices. GBH is PBS's leading producer for TV and the Web, a major supplier of programs heard nationally on public radio, a leader in educational multimedia and media access services for people with vision or hearing loss, and the leader in public media for greater Boston and New England.

JOB OVERVIEW

The Revenue Growth Strategist shall work with key members of the GBH team to identify and secure revenue growth opportunities by creating a growth plan focused on creating a new short form content and event franchise, developing a series of community engagement activations and securing corporate revenue from technology and innovation leaders within the Boston market and beyond. The compensation package for this position includes a commission.

RESPONSIBILITIES   

  • Identify all third parties that Service Provider intends to approach for possible opportunities for GBH.
  • Develop a program framework and sales strategy for new short-form franchise (short form content, branded content and experiential).
  • Develop framework, package and "go to market" positioning.
  • Work with internal GBH team on pricing.
  • Development of Corporate “Boston Innovation Leaders Circle”, including potential strategy, rationale and narrative.
  • Lead and/or assist on corporate outreach for new shortform content franchise, and/or branded content partnerships.
  • Build client target lists with customized rationales.
  • Be available to join meetings and brainstorm business development projects, new partnerships, content studio and/or sales strategy, etc.
  • Identify opportunity and deliver draft approach for business growth.

SKILL SET

  • Excellent reading, writing, verbal, organizational, negotiating, communication and analytical skills required.
  • Must be able to work cooperatively with artists and business colleagues in a fast-paced production-focused environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must have a positive attitude and excellent attention to detail.
  • Proven capability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Must have experience with Macintosh operating system, Word and Excel, and document comparison programs.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience building fundraising strategies for non-profit organizations.
