Landscape Construction Crew Leaders are responsible for leading crews on a variety of landscaping projects. They distribute instructions throughout the team, communicate with the Project Manager, and ensure completion of the job from start to finish according to the project outline.
Duties and responsibilities
Support the management of landscape enhancement projectsReview and understand scope of work with Superintendent, and install to all necessary specifications Accurately report project production to SuperintendentResponsible for crew performance including training landscape techs Manage team time keepingResponsible for daily upkeep of assigned equipment and vehicleUnderstand the need for and exhibit the ability to adapt to meet critical deadlinesEnsure a safe environment for employees, customers, and the public while ensuring the work is done efficientlyOther duties as assigned
Physical Demands and Workplace Environment
Technicians should be comfortable with and have physical and manual dexterity to operate heavy equipment and use digging tools (backhoes, dump trucks, front-end loaders, small and large trenchers, shovels, augers)Exposure to dust, grease, noise, and chemical vapors PPE is providedOutdoor working conditions in all weather conditions; must be able to work in extremely hot and cold temperaturesFrequently lift and/or move objects up to --50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects over 50(use of lifting equipment or 2-person lift over 50lbs)Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, crawling, stretching, stooping, and standing
