COMPENSATION INFORMATION
The salary range(s) represents our good faith estimate for the role at this time. While we strive to provide competitive and transparent compensation, there may be circumstances where an offer is above or outside of the listed range. We are open to discussing salary expectations with qualified candidates considering factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience and geographic location will all be considered during the hiring process.

Senior ServiceNow Developer| Pay Range: $95,200.00 - $123,700.00

ServiceNow Developer II| Pay Range: $76,000.00 - $96,900.00

ServiceNow Developer I | Pay Range: $62,500.00 - $76,550.00

At Southwest Power Pool (SPP), we keep the lights on for millions of people by ensuring reliable, affordable electricity across our 14-state footprint. Our ITSM team is the backbone of that mission, and we're looking for a ServiceNow Administrator/Developer to help us optimize and scale the platform that powers our operations.

In this role, you'll configure and customize ServiceNow modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Asset, CMDB), design workflows, and build automations that improve IT operations. You'll collaborate with IT, compliance, and operations teams to deliver solutions that support both reliability and regulatory readiness.

We're seeking candidates with:

  • Strong knowledge of the ServiceNow platform and scripting (JavaScript, Glide).

  • Hands-on experience with upgrades, migrations, or custom development.

  • Familiarity with integrations (REST, SOAP, MID Servers).

  • A solid understanding of ITIL processes (Foundation certification a plus).

  • A collaborative, problem-solving mindset and appetite to grow.

  • For senior-level role: proven ability to design architecture, lead integrations, and mentor team members.

 ServiceNow Developer I

  • Entry-level role focused on learning the platform and supporting basic configurations. Responsibilities include handling minor updates (form tweaks, catalog adjustments), assisting with bug fixes, and maintaining documentation.

ServiceNow Developer II

  • Mid-level role responsible for building and testing workflows, automating service desk functions, and supporting compliance efforts. Works more independently and contributes to system enhancements.
    • ➡️ Expectation: Independently build and deploy solutions while ensuring audit readiness.

 Senior ServiceNow Developer

  • Leads strategic platform enhancements, architect integrations, and mentors junior team members. Drives governance, scalability, and compliance across the platform.

To be successful as a ServiceNow Developer, candidates should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Senior ServiceNow Developer: - Six (6) years of applicable Information Technology Development/Support experience
  • ServiceNow Developer II - Three (3) years experience of Information Technology Development/Support experience
  • ServiceNow Developer I - No experience required
  • Solid understanding of the ServiceNow platform and modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Service Catalog, Asset Management, CMDB, etc.).

  • Experience with ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, Glide scripting) and integrations (REST, SOAP, MID Servers).

  • Experience in customizing ServiceNow workflows, forms, and notifications.

  • Experience with ServiceNow version upgrades, migrations, or custom development.

  • Understanding of how ServiceNow fits into broader IT infrastructure and workflows.

  • Familiarity with ITIL processes or frameworks (ITIL Foundation recommended).

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Unix, or Linux operating systems.

  • Competent in application development, support, and database management systems.

  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Understanding of SDLC and project lifecycle methodologies.

  • Strong customer service and organizational skills.

Preferred:

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator.

  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer

  • Additional certifications in ServiceNow ITSM or ITOM are a plus.

  • Understanding of compliance with and enforcement of SPP Policies and Procedures

Position Type, Location, and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time, hybrid onsite position based in Little Rock, Arkansas. Fully remote options may be available for senior-level candidates residing outside a 50-mile radius of Little Rock, Arkansas (Central Arkansas). The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional extended hours as needed.

Travel Requirement:

This position requires minimal travel (approximately 10%).
