IT Support & Inventory Specialist (Information Technology)
Essential Position Functions:
Install, configure, and maintain computers, Windows networks, network cabling, and other related equipment, devices, and systems; add or upgrade and configure disk drives, printers, and related equipment.
Administer end-user workstations and support end-user activities utilizing TCP/IP on a primarily Microsoft Windows-based local area network (LAN).
Investigate user problems: identify source of problem; determine solutions; test and implement solutions.
Assist users on operating systems and other applications; assist users in maximizing use of networks and computing systems.
Assign users and computers to proper groups in Active Directory.Install, test, and configure new workstations, peripheral equipment, and software.Maintain inventory of all equipment.Manage PC setup and deployment for new employees using standard hardware, images, and software.
Provide computer orientation to new and existing company staff.
Assist with on-boarding of new employees.Maintain confidentiality regarding the information being processed, stored, or accessed by the end-users on the network.
Ensure stockrooms are neat, well stocked and shelving/product labels are maintained.Maintain organized storeroom facilities, workspaces, and spare parts inventory.Maintain shipping and receiving of purchased computer devices and products.Ensure office is stocked with office supplies, food, and drink when guests are scheduled to be on property.Responsible for opening and closing the office space daily.Other duties as required.
Education and/or Experience:
Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred.3-5 years of network and help desk experience - or equivalent applicable experience.3-5 years of experience working in a 50+ user Windows desktop environment required.CompTIA A+ Certification preferred.Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 and 11.Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical employees.Ability to install, configure and maintain personal computers, networks, hardware, and software.Must have working knowledge of computer and/or network security systems, applications, procedures, and techniques.Ability to identify and resolve computer system malfunctions/operating problems. Ability to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner.Able to effectively handle multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communications skills.Must have intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills. Must be able to efficiently use a Windows-based computer.Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
