Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer - Compact Heat Exchangers (Finance)



You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Phoenix, Arizona location on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the development of cutting-edge thermal management systems that enhance the performance and efficiency of aircraft, contributing to safer and more reliable air travel.

The annual base salary range for this position is $102,000 - $127,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Torrance, CA location on a Hybrid work schedule.YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and development, specifically in thermal systems.
  • Strong knowledge of heat exchanger design principles and methodologies
  • Expertise in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA

  • Experience in the design and development of aerospace thermal systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes relevant to heat exchangers
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of tubular Compact Heat Exchangers for aerospace applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define thermal requirements and specifications.
  • Perform thermal analysis and simulations to ensure product performance and reliability.
  • Design and develop advanced mechanical systems and components for various applications
  • Conduct analysis and simulations to optimize mechanical designs for performance and efficiency
  • Create detailed engineering drawings and documentation
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical expertise and recommendations
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in mechanical design and engineering
