Base Area Attendant - Full Time and Part Time - Winter 2025/26 Seasonal (Manufacturing)



SUMMARY
Responsible for assigned rounds during shift, maintains plaza checking the resort for any problems, supports shovel team as needed and completion of reports. Reports directly to the Facilities Supervisor. Attendants are responsible for providing protection to employees, guests, and company property. Also assists guests as needed, supports the Guest Services and Facilities departments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Patrols and periodically inspects assigned areas to include lodging rooms, water pumps, restaurant kitchens, lifts and other common areas. Maintains the Plaza area and keeps it in order for guestsMaintain and stacks firewood in base area.Help support the recycle team with sorting and removal of garbage and recycling from plaza area.Support parking team on busy days and maintain a clear drop off zone out front of resort.Support all resort outlets as neededPrepares lodging walkways and all resort outlets for safe entering and exiting by guest and employeesWorks with shovel team in support of snow removal effortsImmediately reports more serious problems such as fire, flooding or power outages to Facilities Manager and Director of Base Area Operations.Responsible to detect person, or persons, whose presence on the property is not considered to be in the best interest of the resort.Monitors activities of guests and employees for unauthorized removal of company property.Enforces all city, county, state and federal laws and/or ordinances where applicable and contacts appropriate authorities when needed.Performs monthly fire safety inspectionsInspects all areas for safety and fire hazards and reports discrepancies. Takes actions as needed.Service guests' needs such as delivering towels, rollaway beds, etc. to their rooms.Performs light maintenance such as replacing light bulbs, plunging toilets, etc.Reports more serious problems to maintenance staff via telephone, e-mail or in person.Completes assigned daily reports regarding status of resort security noting any irregularities found on the shift.Participate in resort activities, training programs and meetings as directed by supervisor.Maintains a positive, professional, and enthusiastic attitude.Other duties as assigned by supervisor.Flexible working hours. Some job sharing may be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES TO SAFETY:
Protect the safety of self, co-workers, and Grand Targhee Resort guests at all times.Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without delay.Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to Facilities Supervisor.Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures as outlined in the Resorts Occupational Safety & Health Compliance Manual and department-specific procedures or manuals.Operate equipment in a safe manner that will not lead to injury of yourself or others.Drive in accordance with the law and Grand Targhee Resort policies.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS
Current driver's license.
