Memory Care Medication Technician (Healthcare)
About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medication Technician to join our Memory Care team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting residents with memory impairments by safely administering medications and assisting with daily care needs in a warm, person-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders and state regulations.
- Accurately document medication administration and maintain up-to-date records.
- Monitor residents for side effects or changes in condition and report to nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure medication storage area.
- Assist with ordering, receiving, and storing medications.
- Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed.
- Foster a positive and respectful environment for residents, families, and team members.
- Participate in training, audits, and inspections as required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Current Medication Technician certification (or equivalent) as required by state regulations.
- Previous experience in memory care or assisted living preferred.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
