looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our Housekeeping ๐Ÿงผ and Laundry ๐Ÿ‘• Departments. This key role ensures a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and guests. We are seeking someone who takes pride in high standards, strong leadership, and supporting a team in a healthcare setting.

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Key Responsibilities:

  • ๐Ÿงฝ Oversee daily cleaning and laundry operations in resident rooms, common areas, and clinical spaces
  • ๐Ÿ“… Create and manage staff schedules, assignments, and time-off requests
  • ๐Ÿ” Conduct regular inspections to ensure sanitation and infection control standards
  • ๐Ÿ“ฆ Manage supply inventory and coordinate orders for cleaning and laundry products
  • ๐Ÿฆบ Ensure compliance with OSHA, CMS, and internal policies on infection control and safety
  • ๐Ÿค Collaborate with nursing, maintenance, and dietary teams to ensure smooth operations
  • ๐Ÿ“ˆ Train, supervise, and coach staff to maintain high performance and morale

โœ… Qualifications:

  • ๐ŸŽ“ High school diploma or equivalent (additional certifications a plus)
  • ๐Ÿ“† 2+ years of experience in housekeeping/laundry services, 1+ year in a supervisory role (preferably in healthcare or long-term care)
  • ๐Ÿงด Knowledge of cleaning agents, laundry procedures, and infection control
  • ๐Ÿ’ฌ Strong communication and leadership skills
  • โฑ๏ธ Ability to manage time effectively and work flexible shifts (including weekends/holidays)

General Purpose

Coordinates and performs housekeeping services to ensure a high standard of cleanliness both inside and outside the community. Assists staff in completing housekeeping duties, as needed.

Essential Duties

โ€ข Supervises housekeeping staff and coordinates staffing schedules to ensure the proper cleaning of offices, public areas, residences, and community grounds. Conducts regular inspections of all resident and public areas.

โ€ข Plans and schedules cleaning programs, including but not limited to annuals, move-in preparations, and carpet cleaning.

โ€ข Monitors inventory levels, orders all equipment and supplies needed for department, and ensures the safe handling and storage of them.

โ€ข Assists in scheduling and conducting training sessions and department meetings for housekeeping personnel.

โ€ข Ensures staff is trained on the safe handling of cleaning chemicals in accordance with department guidelines and assures compliance with local, state, and federal safety standards, MSDS, OSHA, EPA and other applicable rules and regulations.

โ€ข Assists housekeeping staff with cleaning duties, including cleaning floors, restrooms, kitchens, resident apartments and other areas as needed.

โ€ข May assist with monitoring the budget for the housekeeping department.

โ€ข Prepares resident charges/billing for housekeeping services when applicable.
