Antiques Roadshow Digital – Fall Internship 2025 (Agriculture)

Hybrid staff are also welcome to come in additional days each week or may be asked to come in on other days by their manager.

DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

ANTIQUES ROADSHOW is PBS's most-watched ongoing series, seen by around 6 million viewers each week. During its regular production tour, the show asks the public to bring in their collectibles and antiques to events across the country. Thousands of people have their items appraised free of charge. Selected items are recorded with an expert from one of the leading auction houses or antique dealers in America. The series is typically in production from May through June and in pre- and post-production year-round. ANTIQUES ROADSHOW has many components, including pre-production, post-production, business management, digital, and brand marketing & audience development.

JOB OVERVIEW
The role of the digital intern at ANTIQUES ROADSHOW is providing support to the digital team in building assets within ROADSHOW's CMS framework, Wagtail, for the show's website. The intern will also assist in building video asset files for PBS video platforms by organizing and handling video files, caption files, photo files, and metadata.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with ROADSHOW's Digital Producer to build appraisal assets in Antiques Roadshow's website CMS (Wagtail), and manage metadata, photo files, and video assets.
  • Work with ROADSHOW's Digital Associate Producer/Editor to establish a workflow for adding assets in the site CMS in time with the editing schedule, to ensure asset completion and accuracy prior to episode airdates.
  • Ensure that the asset data entered in the site CMS is consistent with asset data maintained in Filemaker.
  • Assist digital team with building video assets in Media Manager, uploading video, caption, and photo files.
  • Assist digital team with maintaining third-party materials in PIM for broadcast episodes.
  • Assist digital team with basic photo and video editing, as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining digital team administrative files and the series Filemaker database, as needed.

SKILL SET

  • Strong organizational abilities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively, both independently and with a team, in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • General aptitude with computers
  • Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and video editing platforms
  • Media production experience is very helpful but not required; however, a strong interest in media production is necessary
  • Familiarity with Filemaker Pro is a plus
  • Knowledge of Slack is a plus

JOB STATUS

Paid Internship $17/hour (Part-time 16 - 20 hours)

INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW

GBH internships provide students with valuable work experience and real-world knowledge across many different fields of study, from TV and radio production, to web design, accounting, law, and other administrative arenas.

INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

  • Internship Dates: September 15th to December 5th
  • Candidates must have their own computer and access to Wi-Fi.
  • Candidates must be in an Undergrad or Grad program and have work authorization for the United States.
