Water Truck Driver (Transportation)

J.W. Bamford, Inc. is seeking an experienced Water Truck Driver to join our team. This is a travel-based role, ideal for someone comfortable being out of town during the week and working in dynamic jobsite environments. You'll operate water trucks and other heavy-duty equipment in support of logging, construction, and forestry operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate water trucks and various heavy trucks on active job sites and public/private roads

Perform daily inspections, check fluid levels, and keep vehicles clean and functional

Complete accurate paperwork and communicate effectively with your team

Assist with general jobsite operations when needed

Follow all safety procedures and report issues to your supervisor

Travel out of town weekly

Requirements:

Valid Class A CDL with manual transmission experience

25 years experience operating dump trucks, truck & pup, transfer trucks, or similar

Clean 5-year driving record

Current DOT medical card

Comfortable with chainsaw use (or willing to learn)

Physically able to lift 50 lbs, navigate uneven terrain, and work in all weather conditions

Must be able to remain alert for extended driving periods

Willing and able to travel MondayFriday (some Saturdays required)

Preferred Experience:

Forestry, logging, or heavy construction background

Mechanical aptitude

High school diploma or equivalent
