Senior Controller/Director of Finance (Project Management)

Position Summary:We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Controller / Director of Finance to oversee financial operations across multiple locations. This role will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements, managing cash flow, supporting policy development, and providing leadership to the accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare or assisted living, exceptional analytical and communication skills, and a passion for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and review monthly financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness

Manage relationships with lenders and financial institutions

Partner with the VP of Finance to develop financial policies and strategic initiatives

Lead, mentor, and coach accounting staff across multiple locations

Develop and maintain strong relationships with community leaders

Identify and challenge current processes to drive efficiency and innovation

Manage cash flow and forecasting across a multi-location, multi-state organization

Skills & Competencies:

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Comfortable interacting with C-Suite executives and field leaders

Proven ability to lead and inspire accounting teams

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required)

CPA and/or MBA (preferred)

7+ years of accounting leadership experience

5+ years in the assisted living or healthcare industry

Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling

Experience managing finances for multi-unit, multi-state operations

Demonstrated expertise in cash management and forecasting
