Assistant Director of Marketing & Outreach (Project Management)



The Assistant Director, Marketing and Outreach has the primary objective to engage the community throughsponsorships, revenue generation, and program participation to support the financial success of the operation. They will maintain, develop, enhance, and expand relational connections, collaboration opportunities, activities and incentives for local businesses, stakeholders, and others to partner in all community and competitive events, programs, and special projects to increase tourism to the greater Morgantown, WV market, and the Aquatic Center & Track Complex.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Plan, develop and implement strategic marketing plan and promotional strategies with support from part-time staffPlan, organize, implement, and promote all Aquatic Center; Track Complex special events. Create and execute sponsor; vendor contracts, secure vendors and talent, promote events, maintain budgets, and prepare post-event close out.Secure local sponsorships for events, programs, and membership; Develop incentives and investment opportunities for local businesses, stakeholders, and others to sponsor events and initiativesLead membership services by providing strategic direction and sales goalsCultivate relationships with in-tact businesses, church, day care, senior center, and schools to sell corporate memberships, sponsorship, and group useDirect oversight of internal project/campaign management and marketing and advertising requests; collaborate with colleagues on executionRepresent the company in a professional manner consistent with Mylan Park goals and branding along with VP of Marketing directives.Lead development of specific components for the annual operating business plan to deliver client objectives andstandards in accordance with laws, guidelines, and regulations.Prepares and delivers required and requested reports and data to the client.

Staff Supervision

Responsible for approving timecards and preparing necessary documents/reports in preparation for payrollHire, train, evaluate and develop staff through direct and indirect supervision.

Site-Specific Responsibilities

Assists with the planning and execution of aquatic and track competitive events.
