SET THE COURSE

The Sourcing & Product Development Assistant is responsible for supporting the Sourcing & Product Development team throughout the development stage with focus on data management, sample tracking and product development calendar adherence. This position will maintain departmental tools and reports and coordinate with cross functional teams to ensure department and business objectives are met in a timely manner.

BE THE ISLAND GUIDE

  • Update and maintain bulk and development WIP reports across multiple seasons simultaneously as it relates to requests, submits and approvals of mocks, wash submits, trims and embroideries to ensure vendor and corporate calendar deliverables are met through all development stages
  • Review and make comments on all bulk fabric and trim submits and communicate back to vendor
  • Audit all bulk fit sample submits and release corresponding tech packs to suppliers
  • Create and maintain samples tracking chart to track and receive from initial sample stage through salesman sample stage. Support category manager in reviewing samples for product accuracy
  • Inform vendors of SMS deadlines and forward all SMS purchase orders/AWB spreadsheets and make changes/updates as necessary
  • Communicate sample costs and HTS codes to samples team
  • Assist category manager in reviewing tech packs for accuracy and generating tech packs to send to vendors
  • Support category manager field non-technical vendor/supplier inquiries as co-liaison to design
  • Maintain and update Flex PLM with sourcing data for vendor allocation, new trim and fabric ID numbers, milestone meetings and merchant product data downloads
  • Create master layout, review for data accuracy in template and follow development of Brand Launch line list to completion
  • Assist in updating and maintaining cost sheets
  • Act as point of contact for wholesale sales for any needed tools pre and post Brand Launch (to include fabric swatches, line lists and late add samples)
  • Request any new photoshoot samples required due to late add or product detail changes
  • Attend cross functional and milestone meetings as needed
  • Support category manager and manager with various projects and duties as needed to support the overall business

ESSENTIALS FOR LIFE IN PARADISE

  • Generally, 3+ years of experience in garment manufacturing/product development.
  • Experience with Flex PLM preferred
  • Strong MS Office, especially Excel skills preferred
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with management and cross functional teams
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong attention to details
  • Ability to work proactively and problem solve
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in high pace environment
  • Good analytical skills
  • Good judgment and decision-making ability
  • Deadline driven, self- starter

Multiple factors will vary the applicable rate of pay for this role, including an individual's experience, knowledge, and skillset, as well as work location and available budget.

Rate Range: $22.02 to $33.03 Hourly
