Merz Therapeutics is seeking a dynamic and business-savvy Commercial Analytics Business Partner to support our Field Sales Leadership team - including VP of Sales, Area and Regional Sales Directors - with actionable insights, performance dashboards, and incentive compensation plan administration. This role will bridge field leadership and the analytics function, serving as a key partner in turning data into strategic sales actions. Essential Duties & Responsibilities1. Business Partner - Serve as the primary analytics liaison to Field Sales Leadership, ensuring their performance, territory, and analytical needs are met with timely and actionable insights.2. Dashboards & Reporting - Build, maintain, and enhance commercial dashboards and reporting tools to track sales performance, call activity, and business trends. 3. Insights Generation - Interpret data to identify key drivers of performance, regional trends, and opportunity for growth.4. Incentive Compensation Plan Administration - Support incentive compensation reporting, including field communication, goal tracking, plan adherence, and mid-cycle adjustments. Assist in payout validation and scenario modeling.5. Collaboration with Commercial Analytics - Collaborate with the Commercial Analytics team to define data requirements and ensure accurate ETL and pipeline management (technical execution handled by ETL developers and data scientists)6. Data Governance & Management - Maintain documentation of business logic, KPI definitions, and report specifications to ensure consistency and governance.Job Related Skills & QualificationsEducation:
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics), Business, or related discipline (MBA or advanced analytics degree a plus) required.
  • Advanced degree preferred.

Professional Experience:
  • 3 years of analytics experience in either pharmaceutical, healthcare, medical device, or managed care industries, with particular focus on roles within Commercial Analytics, Sales Operations, or Field Sales Support.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to distill complex data into clear insights for sales leaders
  • Experience building and maintaining business intelligence reports and dashboards (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work effectively with field-facing and HQ Teams
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical incentive compensation structures and sales reporting preferred
  • Experience with SQL to query, validate, and troubleshoot data from structured databases
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word - including pivot tables, data visualization, and executive-ready presentations
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
