Tax Accountant (Finance)



Job Summary:

The Tax Accountant prepares, and reviews tax returns, ensures payments are made timely, conducts tax research, identifies tax-savings opportunities, and assists in tax audits. This role stays up to date with changing tax regulations and ensures compliance. The Tax Accountant works with internal teams and external partners to ensure accurate and strategic tax management.

This position will be onsite, 5 days a week, in our Roswell, GA headquarters. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulations, and filing requirements
  • Prepare and review tax returns including sales, property, and VAT, ensuring accurate and timely filing
  • Monitor and manage tax payment deadlines and obligations
  • Generate accurate tax-related reports and documentation for internal and external use
  • Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize the company's tax liabilities while maximizing cash flow and profitability
  • Identify tax-saving opportunities, such as tax credits, deductions, and incentives
  • Conduct tax research and analysis to stay informed on changing tax laws and regulations
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive tax records and documentation for audits and reporting purposes
  • Assist in tax audits, inquiries, and investigations by tax authorities
  • Negotiate and resolve tax disputes and assessments to minimize financial impact
  • Implement and utilize tax compliance software and tools to streamline tax reporting processes and improve accuracy
  • Collaborate with various departments, including finance, accounting, legal, and operations, to ensure tax considerations are integrated into business decisions and operations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, taxation, or a related field
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in tax compliance and planning
  • Strong accounting, analytical, and research skills
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
  • Experience in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and accounting software systems (SAP)
  • Proficiency in tax software such as CCH Axcess, OneSource, or Thomson Reuters UltraTax
