Machinist Intern (High School) (Finance)

As a High School Intern - Machinist here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in our machining processes to ensure the production of high-quality parts. You will operate and set up various machines, such as lathes, mills, and grinders, to fabricate precision components. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the success of our manufacturing operations and the overall growth of our business.

In this role, you will impact the efficiency, productivity, and quality of our machining processes by operating and setting up machines, interpreting blueprints and specifications, and conducting quality inspections.As a High School Intern - Machinist here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in our machining processes to ensure the production of high-quality parts. You will operate and set up various machines, such as lathes, mills, and grinders, to fabricate precision components. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the success of our manufacturing operations and the overall growth of our business.YOU MUST

  • Be a US Person.
  • Be a Senior in high school on track to graduate in May 2026.
  • Have successfully completed or be currently enrolled in career & technical education (CTE) courses relevant to machining.
  • Have basic knowledge of mechanical components and systems.
  • Have the ability to read and interpret assembly instructions.
  • Have strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Be interested in pursuing full-time work upon high school graduation.

Working 1:1 with a mentor, you will apply your current skills and learn to:

• Operate and set up machines, such as lathes, mills, and grinders, to fabricate precision components

• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations

• Conduct quality inspections to ensure parts meet specifications and quality standards

• Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to maintain production flow

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize machining processes and improve efficiencyAbout Us
