This position will be located in one of our US offices and has the opportunity for hybrid work with a few days remote per week.

Your role:

As part of a newly established PMO supporting cloud-based professional services, our Project Managers are expected to demonstrate deep familiarity with AWS programs and apply PMI-aligned methodologies to deliver scalable, customer-centric solutions.

  • Develop and maintain a productive working relationship with project sponsors, customers, and Sales teams. This includes continuous attention to enhancing the business relationships with our customers and/or vendors both internal/external.
  • Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans outlining tasks, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate project teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring everyone is aligned with project goals.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and open communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing concerns.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the project stays on track.
  • Budget Management: Oversee and manage project budgets, ensuring financial resources are allocated efficiently.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality assurance processes to deliver high-quality project outcomes.
  • Scope Management: Define and manage project scope, ensuring that deliverables align with initial objectives.
  • Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to meet project requirements.
  • Problem Solving: Address challenges and obstacles promptly, employing creative problem-solving to keep projects/programs on track.
  • Continuous Improvement: Evaluate project performance, gather feedback, and implement improvements for future initiatives.

Responsibilities include managing AWS-focused engagements and leveraging PMI best practices to ensure consistent delivery across our growing portfolio of cloud transformation projects.

  • Project Management Methodologies: In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and the ability to select and apply the most suitable approach for each project.
  • Industry-Specific Knowledge: Understanding of the industry or domain in which the projects/programs operate, including relevant regulations, trends, and best practices.
  • Risk Analysis and Mitigation: Knowledge of risk assessment and mitigation strategies to anticipate and address potential obstacles to project success.
  • Quality Management Principles: Familiarity with quality management principles and methodologies to ensure project deliverables meet established standards.
  • Financial Acumen: Understanding of financial principles related to project budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Leadership and Motivation: Strong leadership skills to inspire and motivate team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Effective problem-solving skills to address challenges and find innovative solutions during a project.
  • Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate effectively with stakeholders, team members, and vendors to ensure project goals are met.
  • Adaptability: Adaptability and flexibility to navigate changing project requirements, timelines, and priorities.

Candidates should bring proven experience managing cloud-based initiatives, particularly within AWS frameworks, and demonstrate a strong command of PMI-aligned tools and techniques to support the PMO's evolving maturity.

What you bring to the role:

  • A four-year college degree (or additional experience in a related field) and 3 years functional experience including a minimum 1-year position specific experience.
  • Experience with AWS service delivery models
  • PMI certification (or equivalent) is highly desirable as we build a high-performing PMO to support our cloud services growth.
  • At least one AWS certification
  • General proficiency with various tools, systems, and procedures required to accomplish the job. May need to consult with Senior/Specialist staff members on some technical issues.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $74,400.00 - $119,100.00 per year.

The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate's primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.
