Administrative Assistant (Finance)



Position Description

This position will support the KMI PROJECT MGMT- Midstream Estimating group in a variety of areas including high-level administrative assistance to multiple Department VPs and Directors, all in a prompt and efficient manner while maintaining a high level of accuracy. The position will report to the Midstream Manager-Estimator Construction.
Primary Duties:

  • Invoice coding/entering for processing and expense report support
  • Receive, Enter, and Maintain all estimating request into Decisions supporting all BUs.
  • Compile several weekly and monthly reports
  • Maintain org charts, email distributions, team rosters, etc.
  • Coordinates logistics for various meetings for all groups, including reaching out for IT/AV support
  • Order office supplies upon request and maintain stock
  • Drop Fed Ex packages in the Mail Room daily
  • Compose/send occasional departmental emails and/or notifications
  • Support in managing the group's training in our corporate training system
  • Utilize company software to assist with employee's and contractor's hiring/discharge process (ECCOS)
  • Other misc. tasks as necessary for the effectiveness/efficiency of the department
**Position may be filled at various levels depending on experience and job skills of successful candidate.

Position Requirements

Education Requirements:

  • At least a High School Diploma with at least 5 years of experience in an Administrative role.
  • Two (2) year degree in business related discipline preferred.
Job Requirements:
  • Must possess intermediate to advanced proficiency level in Microsoft Office products, including but not limited to, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.
  • Must be proficient at setting up and modifying recurring meetings in Outlook.
  • Must have experience with setting up meetings in MS Teams.
  • Must possess fundamental proficiency level in Visio.
  • Must possess strong analytical skills. Office management skills are a plus.
  • Must be able to very quickly learn and adapt to Kinder Morgan Tools/Applications which support the duties listed above
  • Must have the ability to organize and prioritize daily work and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Must be able to communicate and work cooperatively with various levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients and vendors to resolve issues while adhering to deadlines.
  • Must be flexible and have the ability to set priorities and coordinate multiple projects.
  • Must possess excellent communications skills, written and verbal.
