Base Area Maintenance Laborer (Maintenance)
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Operate company vehicles and equipment, including 4WD trucks, snow blowers, and heavy equipment (training provided).Maintain trash and recycling receptacles, haul waste streams, and process recyclable items.Clean and maintain restrooms in Kachina Basin area daily.Conduct general cleaning and maintenance of outdoor public spaces daily, including but not limited to scrubbing stains, sweeping, organizing furniture, and maintaining trash and recycling receptacles.Conduct general cleaning and maintenance of buildings daily, including but not limited to vacuuming, sweeping, shampooing carpets, and washing windows and doors.Remove snow and maintain walkways using shovels, snow blowers, de-icing agents, sand, and gravel (during winter months). May be expected to operate heavy equipment with proper training.Establish and maintain landscaping in base area public spaces during spring and summer.Reliable attendance on all scheduled workdaysOther duties as assigned

Qualifications/Knowledge:
Possess a valid drivers license, clean driving record, and successful pass of MVR checkMust be 21 years of age or older per insurance requirements, if driving/operating heavy equipment, including 4WD trucksAbility to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles preferredKnowledge of methods and techniques for cleaning and sanitation of public restrooms and other facilitiesBasic knowledge of repair and maintenance skills and/or ability to learn quicklyBasic ability to ski or snowboard preferred.Fluent English skillsStrong customer service skillsAbility to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
Work Environment:
Taos Ski Valley, Inc. is often a fast-paced work environment, especially during Holiday and Peak days. TSVI is located in a high-altitude alpine environment. Position may require travel on uneven, snow-packed, or icy terrain and may be exposed to wet, cold, and/or humid conditions. Must be able to work in close quarters and with other staff.
Physical Demands of Position Include:
Standing & walking 80-90% of the time. Bending, reaching, sitting, climbing 20-30% of the time. It May require lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 25 pounds frequently. Frequent physically arduous work such as shoveling snow. This position will be outdoors and on snow in cold, winter conditions, requiring travel on uneven, snow-packed, or icy terrain.

Positions dealing with children, of safety-sensitive and/or confidential nature, require driving or positions that handle cash may require a background check and MVR check. Employment is contingent upon a favorable background check and MVR check.
