Additive Manufacturing Operations Technician

Indianapolis, IN, United States | req22560 1st shift (7:00am - 3:30pm)

What you will enjoy doing*

  • You will support and participate in current and new safety, quality and lean initiatives/policies as business needs arise
  • You will read, understand, and use Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), Job-Safety Analysis' (JSA), and schedules to accomplish daily production tasks
  • You possess the ability to work in a team-based, collaborative environment where priorities may shift
  • You will be expected to perform all functions related to machine turnaround and preparation for Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) 3D printers
  • You have proven experience working with basic shop tools and hand tools
  • You will be expected to trouble shoot operational issues and relay critical information to the team
  • You will be tasked with basic ordering of supplies and shipping products once production is completed

What makes you great

  • A High School diploma/GED is required. Advanced degrees or technical certifications are a plus but not required. This is an entry level position
  • You have experience in Additive Manufacturing or working with metal powders is preferred but not required
  • You must have a basic understanding of machine tools (milling, lathe, drill press, etc.)
  • You have experience working in a technical capacity with a manufacturing focus
  • You display organizational skills with attention to detail and are self-motivated
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Suite are preferred for this role
