We are seeking a proactive and collaborative Health and Safety (H&S) Specialist to support the global development and implementation of enterprise-wide health and safety standards, guidelines, and programs to build consistency across the organization. This role will work across functions and regions to co-create scalable, practical safety & health solutions that align with the Global Supply Chain and our Global EHS strategies. A key focus of the role is advancing a strong Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) culture-embedding its principles into how work is understood, risks are managed, and learning is prioritized. The ideal candidate will help drive a shift from compliance-based safety to a systems-focused, learning-driven approach that empowers our team members, strengthens organizational resilience, and fosters continuous improvement.

This role will play a critical part in fostering a learning culture, strengthen our H&S foundation, and continuous improvement frameworks. The ideal candidate will bring a systems-thinking approach and a deep understanding of modern safety and health science to help elevate our global safety culture.

The successful candidate must have a solid foundation of H&S functional technical skills, experience developing and implementing forward thinking processes that have enhanced the EHS culture, reduced serious injuries and fatalities (SIFs), other types of injuries and illnesses, and demonstrated improved overall performance.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher AND seven (7) years of experience in Occupational Health & Safety, Safety Engineering, Safety Sciences, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Engineering in a private, public or military environment.

AND

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH).
  • Demonstrated knowledge and practical application of Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) principles.
  • Experience with developing and implementing serious injury & fatality prevention initiatives, EH&S Management Systems, e.g., ISO 14001 or ISO 45001 and implementing "new view" S&H programs such as Human & Organizational Performance.
  • Experience designing and facilitating Learning Teams and other collaborative problem-solving methods.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful global H&S programs.
  • Significant knowledge of U.S. Safety & Health laws and regulations and International Health & Safety requirements required.

Work location: Remote - United States

Travel: May include up to 35% domestic and international

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $160,284 - $195,903, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
