Invoice Compliance Manager (Finance)



Founded in 2008, Locumsmart provides web-based software-as-a-service solutions to the healthcare recruitment industry. The Locumsmart web-portal provides workflow automation, vendor management (VMS), and managed services provider (MSP) software for lowering costs, and increasing the efficiency of recruitment. Our clients include some of the largest hospital systems and staffing firms in the country.

The Invoice Compliance team plays a critical role in enforcing each client's invoicing rules by reviewing vendor-submitted invoices for accuracy and proper substantiation-ensuring our clients are billed correctly and fairly. This position will require significant collaboration with the various Locumsmart teams.

As the leader of the Compliance team, this role will require oversight of both a U.S.-based team and leadership of our outsourced Compliance team(s). This includes, but is not limited to, providing training, and auditing the work performed by our offshore teams, and managing budget and resource planning for the Compliance department.

As a leader on the team, you will be responsible for designing and refining the procedures used to evaluate invoice accuracy, leading a team focused on maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous education and process improvements. You will also serve as a key liaison in communicating the compliance process both internally and externally to improve invoicing accuracy across the board.

This role reports to the Director of Business Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day operations of the Invoice Compliance team, overseeing process execution and ensuring invoices are substantiated accurately for approval and disbursement.
  • Maintain and update SOPs to ensure consistent execution and compliance with internal standards.
  • Lead and oversee the efforts of the Invoice Compliance Team and International Business Partners executing the compliance process, ensuring alignment with internal standards and SOPs.
  • Analyze team performance and operational metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and drive measurable outcomes.
  • Supervise and educate both internal and external compliance teams to uphold quality standards. Ensure ongoing training and adherence to established SOPs.
  • Coach and develop individual contributors, providing guidance, feedback, and ongoing support to ensure high performance and engagement.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align team output with broader organizational goals and enhance process efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate accurate invoicing. Collaborate with Development and Business Intelligence teams to improve automation and process efficiency. Collaborate with Operations teams to ensure Compliance adherence.
  • Support implementation by working with Business Development and Implementation teams to successfully roll out the Invoice Compliance Process and related SOPs for new clients.
  • Manage budget and resource planning for the Compliance function to ensure appropriate staffing levels and operational efficiency.
  • Lead department-level projects and help drive process improvements aligned with team goals.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated leadership experience overseeing multiple teams or a functional area.
  • Ability to coach, develop, and manage individual contributors effectively.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to use performance data to drive decisions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to partner effectively across teams and functions.
  • Comfortable leading change and implementing new procedures or initiatives.
  • Proficiency with Excel and ability to work with data for decision-making.
  • Healthcare experience
  • Experience reviewing and approving high volumes of invoices for disbursement within an Accounts Payable or Accounting function preferred.
  • Experience designing, implementing, or testing internal controls, particularly those related to financial processes or audit readiness preferred.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • 5+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, Accounting, Auditing, or Financial Operations.
  • 3+ years of experience leading and managing teams, including performance oversight and process improvement initiatives.

We believe in fair compensation for all of our people, which is why our pay structure takes into account the cost of labor across U.S. geographic markets. For this position, we offer a pay range of $72,000 -- $192,000 annually, with pay varying depending on work location and job-related factors such as knowledge, position level and experience. During the hiring process, your recruiter can provide more information about the specific salary range for the job location.

CHG Healthcare offers starting salaries for sales positions in the form of total target compensation (TTC = base + commission + bonus), which includes base pay, commission, and bonuses. Sales positions receive short-term incentives through commission plans and bonuses. On the other hand, non-sales positions have starting salaries that consist of a base salary and short-term incentives through various bonus plans, which are paid out monthly, quarterly, or annually.
